For those of you who aren't aware, the Greg Awards is a much anticipated event which let's us showcase our awesome work to friends and family, justifying where our *ahem* steep tuition fees have gotten us. It also gives us an excuse to get out of our dirty college sweats and look decent for an evening. Seriously guys, laundry? There's just something about 2nd semester... Rock the Tide sometime.
This project involves developing a campaign for a real client (Boo Yah St. Lawrence College perks) called Living Rooms; your one-stop-shop for healthy building material and conscious living products. Sounds sweet, but how do you develop a direction for a company that distributes everything from anti-radiation headphones to recycled paper counters? Throw in a few buckwheat pillows and non VOC expanding foam and we're good to go.
But in all serious, this company is great- just a little but out there in terms of a challenge. The checklist of campaign requirements is pretty intense, but probably just looks a lot more intimidating than it actually is. Kind of like an angry chihuahua.
Needless to say, whether it's the creation of the creative brief, campaign concept, slogan, podcast, video, 2 sided flyer, trade-show banner or new website content (am I missin' anything?) My group and I will be busy bees in dirty college sweats for the next 2 weeks.
On a side note, my Greg Awards dress is just darling.
