In case you're a little confused and disturbed, I'm talking about creating a Twitter account. You weirdos...
Just to be clear, I only have an account because my professors have been advising us to stay connected. I realized that if they are using it, then it has to be a pretty useful tool, right? Well, after a little bit of creeping around on the site, I discovered this; the only reason Twitter has a bad rap is because many people who use it are, well, complete and utter twits.
Where is the sense of fulfillment in letting people know what you are up to 24/7? Do tweeters really feel like they're being heard? Maybe it's similar to the placebo effect; if they believe people give a s***, their incurable case of self pity will suddenly retreat. Does that mean 200 million people when into remission when Twitter shut down for a day?
Is it wrong to see a connection between Twitter and the bird flu?
Needless to say, I have almost completely forgotten about Twitter. No, seriously, I can't remember my user name or password. The first encounter made me realize that it wasn't what I wanted. Thank God I didn't give it my number...
